Emlia Arenas
Emilia, originally from Colombia, began her yoga journey when her mother invited her to a class. Captivated by the depth of breath and the body’s ability to move in such transformative ways, she explored different styles of Vinyasa Yoga until she discovered Ashtanga. With an athletic background and many years of teaching fitness, Emilia immediately fell in love with Ashtanga’s discipline and its use of the body as a tool for transformation. Her path led her to Miami, where she devoted herself fully to the practice under the guidance of Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldmann, and Greg Nardi at Miami Life Center, eventually completing their apprenticeship program. She also deepened her studies with several trips to India. Alongside yoga, Emilia pursued fitness studies to better understand body mechanics and the importance of strength training for a sustainable practice. This inspired her to create her Wholesome Training—a program that blends resistance-based strength work with Ashtanga-inspired sequences, combining physical vitality with inner awareness. Her mission is to guide students toward strength, balance, and self-compassion—helping them cultivate a kinder relationship with themselves and, in turn, with those around them.
