Although breathing is an automatic function, when we truly begin to pay attention to it and attempt to direct the flow, it becomes a bridge to the deeper levels of yoga and meditation. Once we begin to manipulate the breath through yogic breathing practices, stilling the revolutions of the mind becomes more accessible. This all levels practice is a journey inward through the breath and an opportunity to experience a sense of calm.

This class is the full Ashtanga experience. In a steady and dynamic pace postures are linked into a sequence that opens new dimensions in your mind-body-breath connection. Stamina, strength and flexibility are weaved into a full-bodied meditation, with Sanskrit counting and careful emphasis on Ashtanga’s Vinyasa method. Be prepared to sweat! Half primary students are also welcome to join and sit out after navasana, Eddy Rivero is an Authorized Ashtanga Teacher with a deep experienced knowledge of the practice.

After tuning-in to our breath our Sun Salutations will bring out the sunshine! We will take our Boat to journey out to the ocean and along the way meet some sea creatures. Class concludes with us coming back to shore for a relaxing meditation and savasana. Yogi Beans is a yoga experience for kids committed to introducing young people to a healthy and lifelong activity that is noncompetitive, non-judgmental, physically challenging, and a ton of fun! Our core program structure develops children's abilities to focus (attention), stand up straight (posture), move their limbs with control (coordination) and grace (flexibility), and find inner strength (self-confidence). Our curricula are designed to introduce young people to the foundations of yoga and mindfulness, and translate novel yogic concepts into a language that is understood and enjoyed.
