Erin Kelly (@erinkellyart) and Steph Góngora (@casa_colibri) are traveling yoga teachers, authors, and movement artists based out of California and Costa Rica, respectively. Often found co-creating workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings, their teaching style combines precise breakdowns of form and anatomical cuing with a graceful strength, cultivated through slow and unusual transitions, sprinkled in an intricate and lyrical flow. Their classes are refreshing and playful, while still always incorporating detailed alignment lessons and useful applied anatomy. A true artist by nature, Erin received a BFA in Oil Painting with a minor in Art History from The Maryland Institute College of Art. She is passionate about the idea that if we open up our bodies physically, we can tap into all sorts of creative, emotional, and psychological breakthroughs. She continues to build upon her own creative language, pulling from a variety of yoga lineages and movement modalities to craft unique and satisfying sequences. Steph grew up dancing and practicing gymnastics before moving through an exploration of aerial arts including teaching pole, lyra, and silk hammock. Graduating with a degree in Biology and Chemistry, she developed an appreciation for continued education and tying in an anatomical understanding to the fluidity of her classes. Steph lives full time in the mountains of Costa Rica, where she operates an eco retreat center that regularly hosts their intensives and trainings. Both Steph and Erin have a deep love for cultivating creativity and the art of expression. Neither choose to be defined by a particular style of movement, and instead embrace the idea that is it only through continued exploration that we can each craft the ideal personal practice and truly move authentically.
