In 2017, she established Yoga Cairo, a mysore program situated in Zamalek, an urban island on the Nile River. Her commitment to growing the yoga community in Egypt can be exemplified through her students, many of whom have become teachers themselves. In 2022, Kaz launched Yoga In Depth, a 9-month mentorship program designed to deepen one’s understanding of yoga. With a BA in English Literature and a minor in Creative Writing from UC Berkeley and a certificate in Managing the Arts from the Asian Institute of Management, Kaz worked in new media, broadcasting and publishing as well as education; she utilizes her love for words and experience in the classroom to express some of the more subtle concepts of yoga with her students. Her years of experience have also helped her to understand that each person has their own special way of learning and being and, that by understanding this, it is possible to create a space where students can feel safe while being challenged to grow.
