This session focuses on poses, sequences, and actions that help to keep the back healthy. Students with back pain will have the opportunity to address their issues and receive guidance through Rosa's teachings. Ahimsa means non-violence, which is an important principle in our yoga journey. When there is chronic pain, the mind cannot be at ease. In the Bhagavad Gita, one of the definitions of yoga is “the dissolution from pain and suffering.” Understanding the source of our pains can be the first step towards healing, and maintaining a sustainable yoga practice. This series focuses on specific pain points in the body- back, knees, and shoulders. To benefit the most from this series, the use of a chair, belt, blocks and blankets is recommended, though not required.
