Yin yoga's slow, relatively passive practice encourages internal awareness and contemplation. Join Ellen for a mindful yin series to create harmony, release tension, and dissolve fatigue. This 4-week yin-inspired series is based on the philosophy of Ayurveda (yoga's sister science). ""Ayur"" translates to wisdom or knowledge and ""Veda"" means life; together, Ayurveda means 'the knowledge of life.' This holistic system is based on the five elements of Nature that, when combined, create the Doshas and one's unique constitution. Each week you'll practice a sequence specifically curated to encourage balance in one of the three doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha. The last class in the series is TriDoshic and promotes wholeness and well-being for all three. Nourish and calm your nervous system as Ellen gently guides you into postures that soothe stress and inspire a relaxed state of mind and body.
