    Welcome to the Beginner live-stream course! Join Kino for a special introductory message where you’ll learn more about what to expect, how the course will be organized and all of the exciting classes ahead. Let this introduction inspire and empower you for the path ahead and ignite your inner fire, passion and excitement for this experience. Take some time after you watch this video to tune into your personal intentions and hopes for the journey you’re about to embark about, write them down and bring them with you to your first class with Kino on May 2nd.

5 Workshop Deep Dives

  • The Breath-Body Matrix

    Breath, body and mind are intimately connected and yet a total mystery. Through this practice you begin to taste the magic of the yoga practice. States of harmony and coherence are available to you just under the surface of casual thought. It’s more than just breathing, it’s the essence of life itself. Embark on a journey towards the center of yourself and discover the depth level of your mind. You will already get a sense that the vast expanse of your inner world is where the spark of creation really lives.

  • Feel your Foundation

    Yoga is a practice, not a performance. It’s all about what you feel, not about how it looks. In this class, you will learn what it means to actually feel your body from the inside out. Awareness is the foundation of every yoga practice. Once your mind is able to feel the body as itself, bare and naked, healing happens. Expect to dive into the deepest realms of the body, mind and soul.

  • Ease and Flow

    Connect into an undercurrent of ease and flow within yourself and let the breath guide you deeper. You will learn how to make the yoga practice your own and step on to the mat with confidence and grace. Yoga, like life, will not always feel good. But you can learn how to maintain a calm, equanimous mind that is a stable, rock of peace amidst all the ups and downs of life. This class is a total body immersion in the world of yoga.

  • Open your Heart

    The heart-opening space of yoga begins with yourself. Apply the lessons of loving-kindness to your body and watch your capacity for compassion grow. Learn to love, honor and accept yourself while challenging your yoga journey. Move through a practice that integrates your heart with your breath, body, and soul.

  • For each day of the course you will have a mini class that breaks down essential lessons, techniques and poses from the previous weeks Saturday workshop. Along with the bonus classes listed below, these mini classes with comprise your daily practice regime throughout this month-long journey. Don’t worry, you’ll get a daily email to help keep you on track, inspired and learning!

4 Bonus Sessions

  • Introduction to the history of Yoga

    Yoga comes from the Sanskrit root word, “yuj” and can be translated as union. But, the question is really union between what? The ancient practice of Yoga is a spiritual tradition that originates from India. The unity that practitioners of yoga seek is between body and mind, in an effort to fully recognize the truth about themselves and ultimately about all reality. Learn about the history of yoga with this introductory bonus class as part of the beginner course with Kino.

  • Yoga Philosophy 101

    The origins of yoga can be traced to India’s historic past. Learn about traditional yoga philosophy and how you can respect and integrate the wisdom of yoga into your life.

  • Yoga Breathing 101

    Take time to just be and breathe. Yoga breathing unlocks the gates to a calm nervous system. The tools you learn in this special seminar will prove to be priceless. You will call upon these techniques for the rest of your life!

  • Meditation 101

    Don’t fear the silence, it’s only you and your thoughts in your head. This short meditation is perfect for beginners and demystifies mindfulness so that you can actually experience a small slice of inner peace.

  • Q&A session

    Tune in for weekly Q&A sessions between Kino and the community members that participants in our first run of this course in May 2020. We hope to continue growing the registrations for this course so we’re able to keep running supportive seminars and webinars for our beginner yoga community.
